Mange is one of three illustrations inspired by my favorite TV shows as a kid, The Powerpuff Girls. In the show, there’s an episode where the girls dress up as the superheroes they’ve read about in the favorite comic books. The episode is adorable and definitely one of my favorites.
This particular one is based on Buttercup’s costume. I had a lot of fun working with the smooth and curvy lines of the smoke and the simple colors.
